Why is mozilla firefox getting very slow at launching?

Author: It used to be so fast but now it can take minutes to start up. I frequently click on Mozilla and get disgusted and go to IE. After I get to the page on IE, suddenly, Mozilla opens up.
Once open, Mozilla is fast, but for some reason it takes far too long to launch.

if u have alot of useless add ons delete some, or sometimes it just crashes so u need to open it and close it 2 times in a row and it will start working. Also how is it slow if u just posted a question?
do you have a lot of extra toolbar/add ons running in firefox? that could slow it down. check what you have installed and delete anything you don’t use. also run an antivirus program to get rid of anything extra running on your system you don’t want ther.e
