What is the easiest way to open a tab on firefox?

Internet explorer 7 and 8 has the ‘new tab’ option, so how do you open tabs in firefox?

Right-click on the toolbar, choose customize, then drag the tab button out of the menu and put it on the toolbar next to your other buttons. That’s by far the easiest way. When you need another tab, instead of hitting ctrl+t, just click on the button.
Why would you hit ctrl+t when you don’t even have to move to click on the button??

New tab button, the easiest thing there is.
    One-click……..done.

The `easiest` way is a matter of opinion.

That said, my opinion — which is the correct one, by the way — is that it’s easiest to hit CTRL + T in order to open a new tab.

You could also go to File->New tab, but I think that doing so would be slightly less easy.

    file..new tab or ctrl T

Wow! I didn’t realize there were three other ways to open a new tab. I just right-click on an existing tab and select New Tab.

    Hope that helps.
