I’ve replaced Apple’s Safari’s web-browser with FireFox and I like it better. I also have replaced Apple’s Mac OS X Mail with Thunderbird and it’s a learning curve, but, so far, it seems more reliable.

Are there any other Apps for Mac OS X Leopard that are good open-source programs?

(I prefer apps written in Java).

I would appreciate all ideas.

Looking for something like McAfee. I like McAfee but a friend told me that it doesn’t really do anything and she told me about a security center that mozilla offers. Does anyone know of this and is she wrong about McAfee?

Firefox has a tab called IE tab, that can allow you to view pages in IE format. Should Firefox do the same for Google Chrome? What ideas do you have?

I want to know how to make my browser load fast on reboot. Most of the time, I only need the web browser but it takes ages because of other programs loading.

I hope to find a way to boot up and get web browser straight up. I have IE, and FireFox and I am running windows xp media edition.

Any suggestions?

I an VERY new to linux. I have installed Fedora 5 in text mode. I have a Linux book and am trying to slowly learn linux. So from the console, or command line, how do I run a web browser. Also how do I run the X Windows System?

I’ve already made a web site using PHP, but now I would like to make it accessible via https. Once I buy and configure the certificate, does the code itself need any changes? Or is all the encrypting and decrypting done by the web server and web browser automatically?

I have an old computer and I want to put Linux on it. I know that most versions of Linux come with a bunch of programs and that makes it take longer to download/install. I would like a fast booting version of Linux that comes with a web browser and maybe an email client. There could be a few extra programs, but the LESS the BETTER!

IE8 is still in control. I tried to make Mozilla the default. Yet nothing.

I tried the mozilla firefox web browser.Didn’t like it.To many problems.Since I uninstalled it I still have the common file when I start my computer.How do I get rid of it?
