What is the main programming language for software programs like from ADOBE or MICROSOFT or just small applications?

I already have a background in Visual Basic, Java, and C++ but only with 2D gaming and software programming. Is there any other language that is easier to learn 3D programming or which one is best to start learning with?

I know this is the programming section, but maybe some of you can answer this.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science. What can I do that isn’t strictly programming or software development (it can involve some programming, but not where 100% of your work is coding)? Also what can I do that’s outside of the IT industry? And what would I need to have or learn besides my degree to get there?

What’s the best programming language to learn if I want to create language learning software like Rosetta Stone? Java? What if I want to put it online, off a browser, what would be the best programming language then?
