For macro writing in excel what is the programming knowledge I require?
I want to write macros in excel. I want to know how to start and what programming Language I should learn or is there any seperate arrangement other than exiting leading programming languages? I want to learn it in a simple way without learning any major programming langanuge. Is it possible.
What programming language would I use for this?
For writing a software program telling a vending machine the proper change from bills or coins a customer inserts.
This is for a basic computer class and I just want to know what programming language is best suited for this and why so. I don’t even know how to write the software or formula for this, so if it’s easy, let me know how it is done.

Edit: this is just a basic homework assignment, so it’s not like I have to actually go out and do this. I just need to know what programming language would be most suitable for something like this.

I am 15 and have no experience at all with programming, but I’m interested in learning some basic skills. I’ve been thinking about learning some form of C but I don’t know if there is another language that would be easier for a beginner or one that would be better to learn first. Obviously you have to start with a base language so wouldn’t every programming language just be a dialect of the first? To clarify: How could they have made Perl without using another programming language to program Perl’s functionality?

I guess I’m kinda saying what programming language is needed more nowadays or what primary programming language do employers want or need.
