I have a website that I’d to be able to grab and display the last post from a specific category in WordPress. I have WordPress hard-installed on my site (I store the information on my server.)

Is there a way to do that using PHP? It sounds like it’d be simple, but I can’t find decent documentation for it anywhere …

yahoo is my web host, and they have a tool that installs php but it is php 4.3

I just downloaded the php 5 folder and extracted the whole thing on my hard drive, can someone please tell me what I need to do nexT?

I want to build a PHP website. Can any body tell me what is the process for building a new PHP website. And what things will I need for developing the website?

My php page has all the important database information, so I don’t want people looking at it. How easy is it for someone to view this information? Also I’v set the PHP file, so that you can’t access it directly using the URL, you can only see it when it is linked to by a form using the POST method.

On my website, A user enters information for a product, and that information is sent to my database. I want to also create a page for that product that other people can then view. I’m assuming creation of the file would happen in the PHP script before sending the information, so that the link to the page can also be sent to the server.
