How to Buy the Perfect Computing Gift
We all have that geeky friend or relative that we find hard to buy presents for, with Christmas and birthdays being particularly difficult times. But if you feel that just buying more vouchers for someone just because you can’t think of anything better just isn’t fair anymore, then here are a few tips to help you find something a little bit special.
Ask Them What They Want
This is one of the simplest ways you can find out what your geeky friend or relative want to get as a gift. While some people may find this approach a little unusual, and even a bit mean, this will ensure that you get them a gift that they will not only love, but also actually use, which means that your money won’t be wasted.
Do Some Research
If you think you can handle trying to learn a little bit about computers in order to find the perfect gift, or if you’re just a little curious, then a visit to your local library would be a good start. Research the history of computers, or the most recent makes and models, which will help you understand some of the terminology and jargon that comes with the territory.
Get Them the Right Present
In you research and subsequent present hunting, make sure that you get the exact item that they’re looking for, such as the right model or memory size. While some machines and gadgets may look very similar on the outside, there could be very subtle or even hidden differences between them, such as different operating systems or RAM size. If all else fails, and you feel that you just simply can’t find the exact present they want, make sure that you have a back up present, such as specific Dell promo codes, or cash, which they can use to buy what they want.

What the hec is Linux and what is it good for?
People are telling me about linux an OS of some kind which is supposed to be so great and free and I’m like what the hec? Can someone tell me exactly what it is and whats so great about it. Personally I wouldn’t want or use Linux because I never heard of it until now and it can’t be all that good if it’s supposed to be free. I would prefer Windows, but I’m curious about it. Can someone give me a link of a computer using linux unstead of Windows.
How to prevent people from using the Firefox trick on your Myspace?

How would i know if I have the mental capacity for programming?
Not to imply that I’m stupid or anything, I simply meen that some people have a higher aptitude for things such as programming. For example someone trying to do higher level maths like I take might find it impossible, where i find it enjoyable.
Now, I’m looking for a test that would see what aptitudes i have for programming assuming I have no previous experience. This must be a free test and must also include a link and somewhat of a guide.
Thanks
