I just started using the mozilla firefox browser. A minute after I put it advertisements start popping out. Can I stop this and how?

I am trying to print off some sheet music that is only available in the Sibelius Scorch format from a website, but I cannot figure out how to get Sibelius Scorch onto my Linux computer. I tried installing to the Mozilla FIrefox plugin folder, but it still didnt work. Any suggestions?
I am using Firefox 3. Any other way besides downgrading? I really dont want to have to do that.

My friend just downloaded this mozilla firefox thing and I don’t want it. I already have my safari internet and I really don’t want it there. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of it without harming my computer? Did the download already screw my computer up? Please I need answers!! Thanks.

Don’t confuse the marketing definition of operating system with the technical definition. The Linux kernel by itself is an operating system.

I love all the GNU software, but they are just applications. Not the operating system.

X is just as important, if not more important, to a Linux installation. So maybe we should call it GNU/X/Linux.

But what about all of the other contributions?
Maybe we should call it GNU/X/Mozilla Firefox/Thunderbird/Openoffice.org/GIMP/Wine/Compiz/Pidgin/KDE/Linux?

Before, whenever I went on mozilla firefox, I’d type in a letter of the site i want to go to, and it would show on the bottom. How do I do this? For some reason, it stopped showing all my sites, even my history even though i changed it to show my history in the options under the tool bar. I want to make firefox rememebr my bookmarked sites on the browser, but how do I do this?

I downloaded a file using the browser Mozilla Firefox several months ago and i need to reinstall it (it’s a word document from EasyBib) but I can’t find it online, but I found it listed as one of the downloads on the Firefox downloads window, can I reinstall it from there?
