What programming languages or tips do i need to learn to make a decent website?
I am a rising high school junior, and I am very interested into making a tech-related website so I can generate some money (mainly by advertising). However, I need to learn how to make this website in order to put information on it. I just learned basic CSS and HTML5, and I get the general idea of making websites. Are there any other programming languages or tips that I might need to optimize this website?
Where could I find a programmer to collaborate with on open source wifi router software with?
I would like to create a custom firmware package for off the shelf wifi routers, (linksys/cisco is my preference) open sourced, for an art project. Project is funded and programmer would receive all money beyond hardware purchase requirements to get the project off the ground. I will receive no money, but will retain IP of project.
A custom linksys firmware, for art.

Can open source software be used to make money?
Ok, I know you cant sell open source software. But my question is can you use it to make money? Say I integrate an open source software into my website with slight modification in the code as I require. Can I place ads on the same site and monetize on it? I am not selling the software to anyone, I am just using it as a part of my site to ad value to my users. And the money being generated is not through the software but through the ads.

What is the best freeware or open source text-to-speech program out there?
I’m trying to help a visually impaired friend of mine find software that can convert text to speech. A lot of textbooks do not have audio versions and reading is extremely difficult. However, as a student, this person does not have a lot of money. Any help would be appreciated. I would prefer you actually know or use the program and know it works great instead of just posting random google links.
How do creator's of open source software make money?
My husband asked me this question last night while looking at a really cool software release. So I began to wonder myself. Do the coder’s make money? Will they eventually charge for its use once people love it, or sell the rights and then charge current users? Just curious if anyone knows.
Thanks–
