What Linux operating system can you use to install Windows-based software right away with no software used?

Author: For example, Ubuntu needs a program called Wine to install Windows-based software. So is there another Linux OS that can install them right away? And if so, whats the lowest Linux OS memory usage?

How do I clear the commit charge on firefox without having to close the browser or end task/process?
I was able to mess with the options so that it temporarily clears memory usage, but I’m not able to clear the commit charge unless I completely close firefox. Is there another way to solve firefox’s memory leak issue?

How do you resolve Firefox 3 memory usage problems?
Every once and a while, Firefox will hog up the memory to over around 300 MB of RAM (looked through it via Task Manager). It easily resolves by just restarting it, but eventually it just climbs back up overtime. Is there a solution to this? I don’t use a lot of tabs; just maybe 5-6.
