I used to have linux on my computer but had to install windows for a video game. Now I want to go back to linux without having to reinstall it. Is there a way to override the boot to Windows and instead boot up linux? Or perhaps a way to choose which one I want to boot (Like using the command key on a mac to decide between mac os and windows?).

Like using Ubuntu with wubi. Can other linux distros just be installed on C:\ drive too, like a normal program that could be later removed?

I just started software developing at ASU and my teacher recommends using linux over windows but I’ve seen all different formats and i don’t know which one is the best to start off with i would be dual booting with vista 64 bit

I really like linux except for most of the programs i use won’t work on it. Is there a linux version that will run Yahoo messenger 10, Itunes 9, Frostwire and google chrome? I really don’t like pidgin because of the way i use messenger. I have had very little luck with wine.

I want to run on windows but want the programming benefits that the terminal gives, i don’t really even need gnome. Cygwin does not work as well as I need it to but I am a moron so I might be doing something wrong but don’t know where, but thats not my question. Anyway is there a way to run at least the terminal in windows?

*Cygwin likes to give my my two word windows username which has a space but that is a no no in linux.

I want a quick easy way to run linux off of a usb flash drive. That allows me to switch back and fourth between linux and windows. While the file still has to remain relatively small under 1 gig.

I like linux better myself and it wnt crash, its free and runs everything or any type of server.
I know how to get all programs I need running just will they connect properly most servers and databases now days use linux.
Just want to know if people are having issues with it?

Is it worth the free because modern linux has same stuff windows has.

Im planning on a new setup for our office, a Linux server that will have the mySQL database, all other terminals have windows OS like WIn98, Win2000 and tey will need to access the database from the Linux server how to do it?

Give a easy to follow detailed/descriptive step by step procedure on how to dual boot on a windows computer between vista and linux operating systems. Also if you know how, (and i know it’s possible because i’ve seen youtube videos) tell how you can get OS X on vista and maybe do a triple boot between the three operating systems.
