I want to install ktoon because it seems fun to use but it only comes in open source. So i was wondering if there was anyway to install these open soucre files in windows XP. I know that in Mac OS X there is a program called Darwinports so i was wondering if there is anything like that for XP.

The Laptop has no CD Drive, and it has windows on it, however, windows is missing some partitioner and cannot boot up. So is their a way to install linux without using windows first?

Alright so I want to install Mac OS X on my windows machine, yeah I know the legalities so moving on I was wondering what kind of partition I would make for it. Would I use NTFS or FAT32 or would it really matter because I would format the partition to Mac OS X within the Jas 10.4.8 installer?

I originally had Windows 7, then due to a registry error, it messed up and wouldn’t boot again. I used the Mandriva Linux install disc to format the hard drive but now when I boot the computer with the Windows 7 install disc, it does not acknowledge the disc (even though it is set to read the disc from the BIOS). It simply continues straight to the Linux OS. It is not a disc issue either as I have back-ups.

I use windows xp pro sp2. I would like to use linux. Is it possible to install linex in my D: drive with out formatting all the other partitions? Can you explain me how to do that?

I have just build my system physically but not digitally. I need to install the OS (windows vista ultimate 32-bit) and some drivers for my Graphics Card (inno3D 9600GT OC).

Now, I have set the first BOOT device as DVD-ROM Drive.
Am I missing something, or should I go ahead and install the OS with no problem?

I would like to know how to install Linux onto a windows sp2 xp but it’s a factory computer. I want to know how to install it with the drivers still intact and my windows still functioning and usable.

I also want to know if all of my windows programs have to be on the same partition as the windows OS. Thanks!

obtained a used machine that started right up but went to GRUB command line. Is it possible to remove to remove GRUB at this command line or do I have to use another machine with XP installed to format?I want to install Windows XP CLEAN and not as part of a multi op sys.
