What IS Linux anyways?
Okay, I’ve looked around, but can’t find a proper answer from Linux users. They tell me that it’s a "GNU Unix Linux Operating system with customizable" blah blah blah.
I’ve heard it’s a GREAT system to run, but what is it in a nutshell?
I know that GNU means freeware basically, but please, someone want to help me out here?

What does the following error message in Dev-C++ mean?
There doesn’t seem to be GNU Make file in PATH or in Dev-C++’s Bin path. Please make sure that you have GNU Make and adjust Bin setting or system PATH environment variable and that make setting in Compiler Option contains correct filename, otherwise you will not be able to compile anything.

Proper way to use Wikimedia Commons (again)?
If I had a website, and I found an image in Wikimedia Commons that I wanted to use, what do I do?
Do I copy the LINK from Wikimedia Commons and use it in my website, or do I save the picture and upload it on my own host?
Do I need to do anything else? What is GNU? Please explain the process in a clear way.
Where am I supposed to put the credit on? What am I supposed to write?

What makes GNU/Linux so secure?
I have been using Linux for a while now and I have always wanted to know what makes Linux so secure. Is it because most distros are open source developed and the kernel is always being changed? Is the kernel always being changed? Why is Linux so secure?

is it safe to free a NULL pointer in C?
It seems GNU or some compiler says free(NULL) will be ignored. Is this a common sense?
