I am planning of building a jobsite and I want to find a CMS which will help me in my work. I know Joomla but I believe there should be something better. I need main functions such as category search, regular update, CV upload, send a message to the company, subscribe for the newsletter etc. Any ideas ?

I wondered if anyone had suggestions on what open source solution to go with for my online fashion store. My plan is to get a web designer/developer to create the initial templates and build the basic website, but after that I’ll be updating the copy and images myself (I have very basic CMS skills but happy to learn more).

a company requested me to do a website for them .. that requires some dynamic content .. i agreed to do but i know only joomla.. i ll do websites using joomla CMS.. can i do website for em using joomla? they ll pay for that website to me .. is it against the GNU license ?

Wanting to make a website that offers a monthly subscription capability, but need a content management system that allows for this. Having a hard time finding what’s out there that allows for this, but is also open soruce. Paying ,000 for a CMS is not in my budget.

I’m trying to decide which is the best open source content management system (CMS) out there to use for my web sites. Based on your experience, which one would be the best for a Martial arts school?

I know next to nothing about programming or web design.

My question is, if I wanted to create a respectable looking website from scratch, not using a CMS or frontpage or anything like that..How long would it take me to acquire the neccessary skills to do so?

And what would I have to learn?

I would appreciate any info, I want to know whether its worth it to invest time/money into doing so.
