I want to learn computer programming and database management but have no clue how to start. Any ideas or books that can help me out? Thanks

How do you create a next and previous button using php and oracle as your database? For example, I have 100 records and I only want to show 30 records at a time. I really have no clue on how to do it. I know it can be done using php and mysql but our project requires us to use oracle as database.

I downloaded a program (or I thought it was a program) to archive my old entries in my blog and transfer into hard copies. The description says it’s open source. I opened the folder and all that’s inside of it are PHP files. I have no clue how to "activate" or open these files, let alone use them. Do I need to download a specific application? Do I need to have Linux?

I really want to know how I can save on programmers, I have a decent knowledge in coding but i cant do it myself. Thats why i believe there should be some open source software like Pligg to help me develop a site where people can ask there questions, and answer them of course. Any clue will be appreciated. Hi I’m new to Java and this is my assignment:

Write Java code using a loop structure to compute the sum of the even numbers from 2 to 50 inclusive.

I have no clue how to write this code.
