How do you load and run an OS from an external drive?
I bought one of those USB external drives and I want to run a different OS from it. Is that possible?

Yes i think you can.
I think you can Install you’re OS on the External Drive and Boot it from there when you’re PC starts up.
One you have done that you will ned to turn off you’re PC.
Then turn it back on again, press the button that corresponds to choosing which device to Boot from(in my case it’s F10,but you’re may differ)
Then look in the list to find the name of you’re external drive and highlight it and click Enter to confirm you’re choice.
It will save you’re changes and proceed to boot-up from you’re External drive from now on unless you change it you’re self.

The only thing you can do is plug it in and make sure it’s powered. then run the OS setup. When making a partition it should give you a list of drives that are available, if your external drive is listed, then go. If not, you’d have to get some USB driver that I don’t even know if one is available…
