How do I run Linux Mint on my Vista laptop?

I have installed Linux Mint 8 on my flashdrive, but how do I actually boot Linux to run at startup? I dont know how to make Linux run or launch, my computer just keeps booting into Windows Vista, and I really hate Vista. How do I make Linux boot from my flashdrive?

You have to make a change to your bios to boot from the flashdrive. See the first link. Not all computer have the capability of booting from the usb port.
Be aware that if you run mint from the flashdrive it will run slower than if you ran it from the hard drive.
    Good luck
