How can I stop Mozilla Firefox from opening a new window every time I click on something?

Author: How can I stop Mozilla Firefox from opening a new window every time I click on something? Also, whenever I type, everything comes out in Caps but it’s off. Then, when i click on the end of a word it highlights the whole thing when I’m using Firefox. And on iTunes and Limewire it highlights the whole list! I’ve already tried restarting my laptop but that didn’t work. Help Please!!

Okay, I’m not very sure if I know a solution to ur problem, but I think the issue is your ‘ctrl’ and ‘shift’ keys are perpetually in the pressed state. That is why when you click on any link, it opens up in a new tab and when u type things, it comes in capital letters.. My ctrl key gets stuck at times but mostly after I restart the system it works..
The new window thing should be solvable with a FireFox option:
1. Click the Tools->Options menu item.
2. Click the Tabs page.
3. In Firefox 3.0.x, under "New pages should be opened in", click the "A new tab" radio button. In Firefox 3.5.x, check the "Open new pages in a new tab" checkbox.
4. Click OK.
Second, I’m assuming the Caps problem is in Microsoft Word. Try this:
1. Click on one of the paragraphs this is happening to.
2. Right-click and select Font.
3. Make sure the All Caps and Small Caps checkboxes are UNchecked.
4. Click the Default button to make this permanent.
5. Click OK.
Haven’t a clue about the word-click problems.
